Michael Waters, a versatile South African artist, began his painting career in 1988 after exploring both music and art. His first exhibition was at the Rondebosch Swatch Art Festival in 1988, with his first solo show at the University of Stellenbosch in 1990. He has since held seven solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows, with recent opportunities to exhibit in France and Madrid. His work, found in private collections globally, spans various mediums including sculpture with materials like glass, fiberglass, metal, and wood, though he primarily works in oil, adopting an expressionistic style. Living in the Klein Karoo's Ladismith, Waters' vibrant, engaging paintings cover a broad range of subjects from Cape landscapes to urban scenes, encouraging viewer interaction and inspiring artistic appreciation and creativity.
